CECOS Educational Institutions have been source of continuous support to more than seventeen thousand students for developing their careers, especially in Business Management, Computer Sciences and Information Technology since 1986.
CECOS University arrange an open house exhibition every year to provide industrialists, academics, students and all concerned an opportunity to interact and evaluate and judge the innovative state of art research work of the students To promote sense of competition and enhance quality, CECOS University organizes OPEN HOUSE every year, whereby graduating students of Engineering and Architecture, present their Final Year Research Projects for formal evaluation by Jurists.

This year too, CECOS University arranged the ‘OPEN HOUSE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP GALA 2016’ at the Main campus CECOS University Institute of IT and Emerging sciences Phase 6 , Hayatabad Peshawar, so that the industrialists, academia, students and all concerned are provided ample opportunity to interact to evaluate and Judge the innovative state of the arts research work of the students.

A large of number of Industrialist, students and faculty members of various universities visited the Open House and appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty of CECOS University for promoting the cause of industrial research and development.
Following are the activities which would be a part of the OPEN HOUSE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP GALA 2016
• Final Year Project Exhibitions
• Entrepreneurship Gala
• Break out Session
• Job Fair 2016: This job fair will provide an opportunity to young and professional engineers of KP & FATA to access the leading local and multinational companies.
• Closing Ceremony

Final Years Project Exhibition
• Stalls will be arranged for each Project Group of Electrical Engineering , Civil Engineering , Mechanical Engineering Departments , Architecture Department , Computer Science Department in respective building as mentioned in the workout plan along with the map provided
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes for the best project (excluding Mechanical Engineering Department) will be given along with the shield and certificates.
• Project Evaluation will be conducted only for the Electrical and Civil Engineering students.
Entrepreneurship Gala
The activities will include
• Presentation of Business Idea Generation (All the students including FYP’s can participate).
• Competition prizes 1st and 2nd for the best business idea (shields will be awarded).
• Selection of five best projects from among the final year project exhibition which can be transformed to commercial projects.
• CECOS University will sponsor 3 projects from among 5 selected commercializable projects for prototype development ( based on 3 best technical plus financial project proposals)

IDEA EVALUATION FOR PRESENTATION AT EVENT:
Ideas submitted by the participants will be filtered according to the titles suggested by the participants, received will be reviewed by the team of faculty members and most suitable and best will be selected for the purpose of presentation at the idea generation module.
REGISTRATION METHOD:
Online portal will be created and will be shared on the event’s official Facebook page, in case of login failure or internet problems registration may also be received throughFacebook message on the page.
Previous 10 winners from the CECOS University incubator will be honorably invited to participate.

PRESENTATION METHOD AND PROGRESS:
All the participants, ideas selected by the evaluation team in stage 1 will be called for the presentation in stage 2 and are welcomed to present their ideas whether in Panaflex (2×5 size with stand), Power point (5 slides maximum including title and end slide) and manual chart drawing form. Maximum time for the presenter or participant will be about 3 to 6 minutes depending upon the caliber of idea.
A single idea can be presented by one person or more than one, which means that every individual will have to present his/her own idea or it may be done in the form of group presentation. Presentation in stage 2 will be evaluated by external judge from the industry or market, and also members of faculty.
IDEA PRESENTATION EVALUATION CRITERIA IN STAGE 2:
Presentation will be marked on the basis of following criteria along with the total marks given:
1) Idea generation/ introduction (25)
2) Sources of idea and demand of customer (25)
3) Feasibility (25)
4) Target customers or location (25)
After the judges evaluate presentation, over all marks will be added and averaged and the result will be announced.
PRIZES AND AWARDS FOR THE WINNERS IN STAGE 2:
Two teams securing highest marks in their idea presentation will receive two prizes and certificates, Also the rest of the participants will also receive certificates of participation in the module.

Short duration courses of 1 hour will be arranged which will include
• Shinning your CV and interviewing skills
• Tips for opening business startups
Job Fair
The activities will include
• Entrepreneurs Lounge
• Stalls of companies with their hiring desks
• IPAX Exhibition with their hiring desks
Closing ceremony
• Prize Distribution of 1st , 2nd and 3rd best Final Years Project
• Prize Distribution of 1st , and 2nd Business Idea
• Declaration of first best Commercializable Project for among FYP Projects
• Distribution of certificates to Active participants of FYP exhibition, Poster Presentation companies in Job Fair and event organizers
• Farewell and Hi-Tea
