Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Higher Education, Mushtaq Ghani has said that establishment of technical university in the province is a historical initiative of present provincial government which would certainly proved a great centre of learning for middle class public. 

The university initially would soon start working in Adam G Paper Mills Amangarh, Nowshera costing Rs.1000 million. He was chairing a high level meeting regarding the establishment of technical university in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Wednesday. Additional Secretary Higher Education, Khalid Khan, Director General Technical Education Prof. Shakeel Ahmad, VC University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, Imtiaz Hussain Gillani, Chairman TEVTA Noman Wazir and other concerned high ups attended the meeting. On the occasion the participants were briefed about the progress and initiatives taken in this regard. 

The Minister was told that feasibility report is ready. Talking about the educational reforms taken by the government, he said that solid commitment was the first need to bring about a real change but unfortunately previous governments did not pay any heed to it. 

He said for the first time in the history; the present provincial government not only is fully committed but also taking historical initiatives to bring about real change particularly in health and education sectors.
