3rd Convocation of IM Sciences held

Third Convocation of Institute of Management Sciences was held on March 6, 2014. The Convocation was attended by a large number of passed out graduates, their parents, dignitaries from academia and different walks of life. Engr. Shaukatullah, Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participated as the Chief Guest of the occasion and awarded medals among the toppers. A total of 45 graduates from various masters and MS programmes were awarded gold medals and Silver medals to 44 students out of a total of 682 graduates. Addressing to the participants the Governor, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies. He also appreciated the role of IMSciences in producing the graduates who have the ability to actualize the theory into practice. 

In his welcome address the Director of the IMSciences, Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan welcomed the Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for sparing his time to grace this important event of the Institute and considered his participation as a source of motivation. He also thanked the guests and students for their participation in the event. In his opening remarks the Director informed the participants that the convocation is being held after a gap of five years. However, he stated that the event would refresh the old memories of the Institute’s graduates. He informed the participants that IMSciences has been progressing in entrepreneurship and business. Along-with degrees in core subjects IMSciences has also expanded its focus to other areas such as Development Studies and Social Sciences. 

He briefed the participants that the IMSciences is based on three guiding principles which are merit, transparency and open door policy. 

He stated that this convocation is not a farewell ceremony, but it is a day of recognition of success and achievements of students of IMSciences
