75 research Proposals Approved in Islamia College University, Peshawar

The Advanced Studies and Research Board of the Islamia College University, Peshawar on Friday approved 75 research proposals of scholars enrolled with various teaching departments of the varsity. The approval came during the board’s sixth meeting chaired by vice chancellor of the university Professor Qibla Ayaz on campus. Deans and chairpersons of teaching faculties from physical, numerical and social sciences were in attendance. The vice chancellor praised the deans, chairpersons and director (higher studies and research) for taking concrete measures to ensure quality and speedy research in the university. He, however, emphasised that the Higher Education Commission guidelines and standards of research be adhered to. The vice chancellor said students and scholars from Afghanistan should be facilitated in research and higher studies with the ICP. Also in the day, senior lawyers led by Peshawar High Court Bar Association president Essa Khan called on the ICP vice chancellor and discussed issues of bilateral interest.
