Campus Police held two Kalashnikovs, one Kalakof, 20 pistols and 500 rounds in under proceeding crackdown inside the campus premises, said Station House Officer Saifullah Aurakzai in press briefing on Friday. SHO said that operation was initiated on special order of Commandant Campus Police Station Ihsamuddin and after complaints of students and teachers’ society. He said that members of different students’ wings were demonstrating legal and illegal weapon inside the campus that irk students and teachers communities.
Saifullah added that students were held under sections 13AO, 294, 4PO, 9ACMCA and 279. Saifullah Aurakzai said that on recent notification of Election Commission of Pakistan vehicles having political number plates were banned so campus police had also stopped many vehicles for using colored and political signs on number plates.
He said that security were beeped up inside the campus and directed students that no weapon should be brought inside campus premises otherwise he informed that no compromise would be made by police.
