The Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar Prof Dr Muhammad Shafi Afridi warned that strict action would be taken against those found involved in cheating during matric examination.
After inspecting examination centres in Peshawar he was speaking at a meeting held here on Wednesday. He directed the invigilating staff including superintendents and deputy superintendents to perform their duties honestly and professionally.
“The rights of the talented students should not be usurped by allowing the weak and poor candidates to use unfair means during examination,” Chairman BISEP said.
He said that the board authorities had made hectic efforts to eradicate the trend of cheating in the examinations and ensuring the rights of the talented students. He urged the parents to inform the board officials if they found unfair means game in any examination centre so that prompt action could be taken against the invigilating staff.
“The curse of cheating would spoil our society and also the future of the young generation if today we don’t stand united against the menace,” Dr Muhammad Shafi Afridi said.
He said the staff of the examination centres had been directed to keep a vigilant eye on the conduction of the examinations fairly and did not allow the candidates to keep their mobiles while attempting their papers.
