Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly’s Standing Committee on Elementary Education met on Tuesday and discussed matters related to improving the state of education in the province.
MPA Muhammad Arif chaired the meeting which was attended by Minister for Education Muhammad Atif, MPAs Jamshed Khan, Sardar Hussain, Shah Hussain, Zareen Riaz and Meraj Hamayun Khan.
Senior officers of the education department were also in attendance.
Additional Secretary for Education Qaiser Alam Khan briefed the committee on various matters pertaining to improving the education sector.
The committee was also briefed on the administrative structure of the education department as well as the performance and duties of its various divisions.
The next meeting will be held on March 24.
