Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs Syed Aqil Shah has said that Awami National Party has fulfilled all the promises it had made with the people during the elections campaign of 2008 general elections.
Addressing a joining ceremony at PK-4 area of Mushtaqabad, Syed Aqil Shah said that the struggle of ANP leadership and workers in war against terror was no hidden fact and that people were witness of the efforts and sacrifices of the party which it had given while standing side by side with security forces, he added. During the ceremony Haji Gul Nawaz Khan along with his family members and large number of other PPP workers announced to join ANP and showed faith in the leadership of Asfandyar Wali Khan.
ANP leaders like Shahsher Ali Khan, Alamzeb Khan and Bashir Ahmed Bilour had sacrificed their lives in war against terrorism but never bow down to militants, Aqil Shah said. Syed Aqil Shah said that during the last five years the ANP government had established nine universities in the province while previously only eight universities were established from 1947 to 2008. He said Cheif Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti would soon inaugurate Bacha Khan Girls Degree College Dheri Baghban. He welcomed the new entrants into the party and asked his voters to spread the message of peace everywhere which was given by Fakhr-e-Afghan Bacha Khan.
