“Developmental steps in edu dept”

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly here Friday was informed that the provincial government was taking developmental measures in education departments to provide quality level of furniture to student, said Minister for Religion and Auqaf Habibur Rehman in KP assembly, the session was chaired by Deputy Speaker Imtiaz Shahid. Provincial Minister said this in response to a question raised by MPA Abdul Karim of Qawmi Watan Party (QWP) who pointed in the house that was a Government Girls High School in his constituency Tordher. Responding his question in written documents, it was said that the school was functional in which 1080 students were getting knowledge but due to construction of eight new rooms the school has been shifted to Government Primary School No-2 Tordher, adding that classes would be started in high school from February, 2014. Supporting him, QWP MPA Bakht Bedar said that they have been facing like a step mother attitude from government; he said that students of high classes were getting their education in Government Primary School Chakdara that was unlawful. Taking the floor MPA Arbab Akbar Hayat Khan said that our educational system was very bad and there were three girls school in his constituency, which were not functional due non availability of facilities. MPA Salim Khan of PPP, Ahmad Khan Bahadar of ANP and Javed Nasim of PTI criticized the provincial government’s policy regarding education and said that there was lack of staff in schools. They said that several teachers getting salaries but have been absents from their duties since long but no action have been taken against them. MPA Maulana Fazal Ghafoor Khan raised another question regarding construction of schools in his constituency that was referred to concern committee as the concern MPA was not satisfied from the answer given him in written documents.
