The Iranian government wants to cooperate and work in partnership with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in the fields of technical education, energy and power, community programmes and various other sectors.
According to an official handout, this was disclosed in a meeting between the Iranian consul general in Peshawar Hassan Darvash Wand and the advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Rafaqatullah Babar.
The Iranian official said his country wanted to take the existing bilateral ties between the brotherly Islamic countries to new heights. He also expressed particular interest to have strong mutual relations with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
Hassan Darvash Wand said with the support of the Iranian government, quality technical education would be provided to the Pakistan youths to enable them to earn livelihood in the competitive markets.
Rafaqatullah Babar thanked the Iranian diplomat for showing the interest of his country in promoting cooperation and partnership with the provincial government and said the chief minister was committed to putting the province on road to development. The adviser said the chief minister wanted to make the province self-sufficient in the energy sector for which the provincial government needed the cooperation and help of friendly countries. He assured that the provincial government would extend all possible help and facility to the foreign companies interested in working in the energy sector.
