Prof. Dr. Mohammad Inayatullah Khan Babar, Chairman, Department of Electrical, UET Peshawar has been appointed as head of Task Force constituted by Pakistan Engineering Council. This was decided in a high level meeting held at Head Quarters of Pakistan Engineering Council, Islamabad. The task force is constituted to devise standards for Communication Networks as part of initiative to build National Electric Safety Code (NESC) of Pakistan for the first time in history of Pakistan. The task force will submit its finding as part of NESC code for Pakistan.
The task force also comprises of technical experts from PTCL, PEMRA, PTA, Ufone and ZTE. Mean while, in exercise of power under Section 19(1) of the University of Peshawar Act 2011, the Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Chancellor of University of Peshawar appointed Prof. Dr. Mohammad Inayatullah Khan Babar as Member of Senate, University of Peshawar with immediate effect. This has been notified by Department of Higher Education, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
