Dr Naeem to get HEC best teacher award

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has selected Prof. Dr. Naeem ur Rehman Khattak for the Best Teacher award for the year 2011 from University of Peshawar. An HEC notification issued in this regard says that the main awards committee in its meeting held in late January 2013, has approved the name of Prof. Dr. Naeem ur Rehman Khattak for the award. It says the award will be given in a ceremony to be arranged shortly. 

The main weight age parameters for the award were excellence in qualification, teaching, research and co curricular activities, adds the notification. 

It is worth mentioning that Prof. Dr. Naeem ur Rehman Khattak is the present Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences University of Peshawar. He did his Ph. D in Econometrics in the year 1992 and is a senior faculty member of the Department of Economics University of Peshawar. 

He has seventy research publications to his name, which has been published in journals of international repute. He has produced 15 Ph. D and thirty M. Phil students as a research supervisor.
