FATA Boys Scout Week attended by Boys scouts from all across FATA concluded with a Grand Camp Fire held at Qayyum Sports Complex on Thursday. Chief Minister Special Advisor on Higher Education MPA Mushtaq Ghani was the chief guest on this occasion. Secretary FATA Scout Association Faisal Jamil Shah, Acting Director General Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tariq Mehmood, Secretary FATA Olympic Association Shahid Khan Shinwari, Scouts Development Officer in FATA Awan Hussain, scout leaders, scouts and large number of spectators were also present during the grand gala that enthralled them. A walk was also held to apprise the scout and general public about the rules of traffic besides hospital services demonstrations were also held. There were colourful skits, tableaus, copying of Mr. Beans, Shahrukh Khan, Shahid Afridi, national songs, fold dances of Khattak, Mehsud, Pashto Tapy (songs), Ghazals, jokes wherein Zulqar Nainan of Khurram Agency, Awan of Orakzai Agency, Amir Shah of Khyber Agency, Sajid of Orakzai Agency, Akram of Khurram Agency, Zohoor Muhammad of Bajaur Agency, Hazrat Umar of North Waziristan Agency, Khalid Khan of South Waziristan Agency and Khurshid Iqbal of Mohmand Agency took part.
Speaking on this occasion, MPA Mushtaq Ghani lauded the efforts of the FATA Scout Association for holding a week long activities wherein scouts from all across FATA took part. He termed the activities very vital for the youth of FATA because it teaches them discipline, self-sustainability, vigor for the services of humanity and love for the country. He said being a scout in his school and college time, he learnt a lot as scout. He advised the youth of FATA to take activity part in scout and other healthy activities including sports.
He said a healthy mind resides in healthy body.
He said scout kids can play very positive role in shaping out a good and healthy society. He said scout always rule for the betterment of the country. He expressed the hope that the scout kids would continue its efforts in future as well.
He also advised the youth to give due attention to their education as well because they are the future builders of the nation. “You are our future and we want to provide due opportunity to the youth so that they could shoulder their responsibility for the tough challenge ahead,” Mushtaq Ghani added.
Mushtaq Ghani said that there is no dearth of talent in the youth of FATA but lack of opportunity that talented kids could not reach to the national level. He said that the next camping will be organized in Abbottabad for which he would provide all facilities to the scout.
Earlier, Faisal Jamil Shah highlighted the aim and objective of holding Scout week for the FATA scouts.
Later on he gave away certificates, cash prizes, sports gears, uniform to the scout kids.
