FDC Peshawar celebrates Quaid Day

Fazaia Degree College, Peshawar on Wednesday celebrated Quaid-e-Azam Day to pay rich tributes to the father of the nation. Headmistress of the Junior Section Ms Maimoona was the chief guest while Principal of Fazaia Degree College Peshawar Air Commodore (retd) Shakeel Pervez and Headmistress of Senior School Section Mrs Saba Mansoor were also present on the occasion.

Students from Junior and Senior school sections and college performed in the one-day event. National songs and tableaus were presented which were highly applauded by the audience. Large number of parents, students and teachers witnessed the well rehearsed and well prepared performance of the students.

Musawir of Class 9th, Walid of 10th and other students from the college sung national songs. Students of junior school also presented tableaus based on the life of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah which were appreciated by the audience.

The tableau, in which students presented themselves as the Muslim leadership of the undivided India, was most like and was given a round of applause.

Earlier, in his opening speech Principal of FDC Peshawar Air Commodore (Retd) Shakeel Pervaiz urged the students to follow the path of Quaid-e-Azam and stuck to the principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline.

It is pertinent to mention that the Chief Guest Ms Maimona during her childhood used to wave to Quaid-e-Azam whenever he used to visit Fatima Jinnah’s office.
