Governor Barrister Masood Kausar conveyed the Quaid’s message of hope, courage and confidence to the nation and stressed to reiterate the commitment to adhere to his principles of unity, faith and discipline; mobilize all resources and potentials in a systematic and organized way; tackle grave issues with determination and discipline; to rise to the height of glory by working day in and day out and make him a constant source of inspiration in our fight against racial discrimination, economic exploitation, religious intolerance and political deprivation.
In his message of felicitation on the eve of the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinah he stated, “I take this opportunity to congratulate the entire nation on this auspicious occasion of the 136th birthday of the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, whose exemplary leadership, courage, statesmanship, lofty vision and dedication to the cause of Muslims of the sub-continent made it possible for us to be citizens of an independent and sovereign Islamic state.
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was one of the men who altered the course of history and created a state with his selfless and untiring efforts on 14th August 1947 which can rightly be termed as a major political achievement of the modern Muslim history.
He was the most accomplished lawyer, a shrewd politician, an astute diplomat, a charismatic leader, an inexhaustible freedom fighter, a man of integrity, honesty and action, a top ranking jurist and above all one of the greatest nation builders.
He stood alone to counter the might of Indian National Congress and the colonial West and successfully fought for the cause of Muslims to safeguard their political rights.
His Birth Anniversary is an occasion for us to reflect on how far we have adhered to the principles for which the Quaid and founding fathers created this homeland.
The need for imbibing the true spirit of Pakistan’s creation was never as great as it is today when the country’s foundational principles have been threatened by a number of internal and external factors.
I take this memorable opportunity to convey the Quaid’s message of hope, courage and confidence.
Let’s pay homage to the Quaid on his birth anniversary by reiterating our commitment to adhere to his principles of unity, faith and discipline and mobilize all our resources and potentials in a systematic and organized way, and tackle the grave issues that confront us today with sheer determination.
Let us stand for peace through constitutionalism, rule of law, respect for human rights, pluralism and honouring the mandate of the people and making his glorious principles our compass in a turbulent sea. Let us pray for the eternal peace of his soul.”
