Governor urges need for promotion of quality education

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah has said that investments both in shape of resources and efforts in education sector guarantees better returns amongst all the measures which one takes for ensuring better future for the coming generations. The cadet colleges in our country, he added, bear glorious history as far as promotion of quality education is concerned. He also described Frontier Cadet College, Warsak a good addition in this respect.

Addressing cadets and faculty of Frontier Cadet College, Warsak at its premises after inaugurating newly constructed hostel – Shershah Suri House on Tuesday, the Governor further observed that indeed establishment of this institution under the aegis of Frontier Corps is a good sign in the education system. Inspector General of Frontier Corps, Maj. Gen. Ghayur Mahmood was also present on this occasion.

Appreciating the Force, the Governor said it indeed bears appreciable role in ensuring security of country and the nation on the one hand while on the other its initiative for making significant contribution in promotion of quality education to the people is also a good omen. Though, the Governor pointed out, we have quite a good number of educational institutions across the country yet they lack the quality of educational facilities which is expected from them. 

Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah while appreciating successful conduct of FATA three day Annual Fruit and Vegetable Show has desired to take more concrete measures not only to enhance per acre yield of agricultural products but also to educate farming community on fully useful application of research findings for their own betterment as well as for the country.

Addressing as the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the exhibition at Agricultural Research Institute, Tarnab on Tuesday, the Governor particularly mentioned importance of educating and training of farming community on processing and preserving fruits and vegetables on scientific lines and provision of required quality of equipments to them as well. MNA from Khyber Agency, Malik Nasir Khan Afridi and the Additional Chief Secretary, FATA Arbab Muhammad Arif accompanied the governor while the respective heads of departments briefed him on salient features of their achievements. 

Agricultural products especially raw fruits and vegetables; mineral resources and their subsidiary products as well as various varieties of scientific equipments being applied for this purpose besides different specias of pet and wild animals and birds were also displayed in almost 40 stalls established at the exhibition.
