They said teachers had been rendered jobless and 5000 students deprived of education. The elders asked the government to take action against the corrupt officials in the Education Department for forwarding misleading reports to higher authorities that resulted in the closure of the schools.Parents have no other alternative to educate children, they said, demanding the government to reopen the schools or make other arrangements for the students.
