Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti on Wednesday approved the creation of 496 House Officers posts in eight teaching hospitals of the province that would cost Rs.142.848 million.
The hospitals included; KMC Peshawar, AMC Abbottabad, SMC Swat, GMC Dera Ismail Khan, KGMC Peshawar, SMC Swat, GMC Dera Ismail Khan, KGMC Peshawar, BMC Bannu, KCD Peshawar and IMS Kohat. A total of 968 students complete their education from these institutions and the total approved posts for it are 572. It was worth mentioning that 496 additional posts were required. The CM approved these posts of house officers for removing the deficiency and improvement in health facilities to people.
In the meanwhile, Amir Haider Khan Hoti directed nation building departments to ensure timely and qualitative completion of ongoing schemes in different departments including education, health, communication, irrigation and clean drinking water in order that people can benefit from these welfare schemes.
He was chairing a high level meeting at his office on Wednesday. Matters pertaining to completed schemes during the current year, progress on ongoing schemes, allocations of funds were discussed in detail and certain decisions were taken for solution to certain problems. Target for construction of roads and buildings were also chalked out.
ACS Atta Ullah Khan, administrative secretaries of finance, C&W and irrigation departments, Principal Secretary TO CM, MD Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority and officers attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti has approved Rs.0.7 million for purchase of books and four air conditioners for Bacha Khan Library in Nowshera Press Club. The amount would be provided during the current financial year.
Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti also approved grant of Rs.407.29 million for activities under polio eradication campaign 2013. The grant would be provided through supplementary budget grant during fiscal year 2012-13.
Meanwhile, Chief of the Air Staff Tahir Rafique Butt was called on Chief Minister at CM House. He remained there for sometime and discussed matters of mutual interests. The CM thanked PAF on support to the provincial government in Malakand IDPs and flood challenges.
Chief Minister Hoti also approved one time grant amounting to Rs. 3 lac from current year budget for Press Club Haripur. It merits a mention here that provincial information minister announced the grant during oath taking ceremony of the club.
