ICP a historic institute of KP: Jamsheduddin

Advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Excise and Taxation, Mian Jamsheduddin Kakakhel has said that Islamia College is a historic educational institute of the province that besides imparting quality education to its students is creating competitive skills among its students by arranging different extra-curricular activities.

He expressed these views while addressing the hundred year’s celebrations of Islamia College arranged by Islamian Youth Gala on Thursday. Vice Chancellor Peshawar University, Dr. Rasool Jan was also present on the occasion.

Mian Jamsheduddin eulogized the efforts of Islamian Youth Gala for arranging different amusing programs on the eve of Islamia Colleges hundred years celebrations and assured all out support of the Government for holding such type of function in the future.

Mian Jamsheduddin and Dr. Rasool Jan gave away cash prizes to the administration and members of Islamian Youth Gala for their contribution in excellent holding of the celebrations. The prize winners included Zeeshan Khan Khalil, Umar Jamal and Ihsan Afridi.

It is worth-mentioning that eight different competitions among the students of 40 universities were held to mark the hundred years of Islamia College Peshawar under the auspices of Islamian Youth Gala.

The competitions included painting, sketching, modeling etc. The members of Khyber Litrary and Debating Society of Islamia College won praise of participants for their preference in the successful holding of celebrations.
