International Conference on Balochistan’s History and Culture was held on 28-30 April 2014, under the auspices of National Institute of Historical and Cultural Research Islamabad. Director Pakistan Study Centre Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam presided over one working session of the conference and also read out a paper titled “The Interest of Global and Regional Powers in Balochistan”. Some 80 scholars hailing from Pakistan and abroad, presented their papers on various themes concerning Balochistan. The conference was inaugurated by Chief Minister Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik while Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai was chief guest on the concluding day.
