Students of Iqra National University enthralled the audience during a stage performance held at Nishtar Hall here on Monday. The drama was based on a French novel, The Phantom of the Opera, written by Gaston Leroux. The dialogues were delivered in English. The drama was directed by Maryam Arshad and Maleeha Ali Khan and produced by Shahab Durrani. Iqra National University vice chancellor Obaidur Rehman was the chief guest on the occasion. The role of Phantom was played by Abbas Khan, while other roles were performed by Ussra Baig, Salman Khattak, Hassan Khattak, Amjad Baseer, Sonia Shah, Sana Khan and Sadaf Iqbal. The audience appreciated the students’ performance and said that it was the first drama of its kind to be staged in Peshawar.
