The historic Islamia College Peshawar marked its annual English Day in which a declamation contest, literary quiz and English poetry competitions were held.
Boys and girls from intermediate and BS programmes took keen interest and active part in the annual event. Mustafa Shah, Maliha Zainab and Jamal Ahmad grabbed first, second and third position respectively in English declamation contest titled ‘If you fail to prepare, then prepare to fail’. Mujeebur Rahman, Neelum Afridi and Yasha Ali were declared as the best first, second and third English poets. The winners were given cash prizes. Prof Tabassum Javed of Jinna College for Women university of Peshawar graced the event as the chief while Prof Abaseen Yousafzai conducted the annual English Day in the Khyber Union hall.
