Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar announced MBBS 2nd Professional Annual Examinations 2013 results. In the said exam total 1453 students of all affiliated Public and Private sector medical colleges of the province were appeared in which 829 declared successful. The overall passing ratio was 57 percent. According to the gazette notification issued by Examination Section of the University Mr.Muhammad MohsinZafar of Khyber Medical College (KMC) Peshawar secured 678 marks and stood first in the overall result however Miss. Asma Aziz of Jinnah Medical College Warsak Road, Peshawar and Hafsa Bibi of KMC, Peshawar secured 672 and 662 marks and got second and third positions respectively. In the said MBBS 2nd professional annual examination the passing ratio of KMU-Institute of Medical Sciences, Kohat was 56%, while that of Gomal Medical College D.I.Khan was 65%,Saidu Medical College Swat 65%, Khyber Girls Medical College Hayatabad, Peshawar 82%, Bacha Khan Medical College Mardan 68%, Khyber Medical College Peshawar72%, AyubMedical College Abbottabad 68%, Bannu Medical CollegeBannu 54%,Women Medical College Abbotabad 36%, Abbotabad International Medical College, Abbotabad 22%, Rehman Medical College Hayatabad Peshawar 59%, Jinnah Medical College Peshawar06% and Pak International Medical College Hayatabad Peshawar was 20 percent. Vice Chancellor KMU Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah has congratulated all the successful students and wished that they will also continue their efforts for obtaining brilliant results in the upcoming examinations. He also appreciated the efforts carried out by the Examination Section of the University for ensuring standardization, transparency and introducing modern techniques of evaluation. He hoped that Examination Section will not compromise on merit and it would continue its hard work for the betterment and enhancement of the under graduate medical examination system.
