Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar Syndicate in its 15th meeting approved Rs.633.013 million financial budget estimates for the new fiscal year 2014-15.
The syndicate meeting was held here at video conference room of IBMS under the chairmanship of VC KMU Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah. Justice ® Attaullah Khan, VC Agricultural University Prof. Dr. Zahoor A. Swati, Director IM Sciences Dr. Mohsin Khan, Dr. Simeen Mehmood Jan, Registrar KMU Dr. Fazal Mahmood, Director AA&QA Prof. Dr. Shad Mohammad, Director IBMS Prof. Dr. Jawad Ahmad, Principal KIMS, Kohat Prof. Dr. Salim Khattak, Nominees of Secretary Higher Education Department, Secretary Health, Secretary Finance and senior faculty of various institutions of KMU also attended the meeting.
According to the details after threadbare discussion the Syndicate recommended for further approval of the University Senate estimated budget worth Rs.633,013million for the fiscal year 2014-15.The syndicate also approved revised estimated budget for 2013-14 worth Rs. 536.519million on the recommendations of Finance & Planning Committee of the University.
The Syndicate gave approval of frame work for the curriculum of M.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Epidemiology & Biostatistics and has also approved curriculum of M.Sc Community Child Health, M.Sc Prosthetic & Orthotics and B-S Prosthetic & Orthotics proposed by Khyber Institute of Child Health and Pakistan Institute of Prosthetics & Orthotics Sciences respectively.
The 15th meeting of the KMU Syndicate approved the recommendations of the University Selection Board for appointments against the posts of Professor of Pathology, Associate Professor Surgery, Medicine, Ganea/Obs, ENT, Assistant Professor Physiology, Histopathology, Forensic Medicine, Ophthalmology, Cardiology on regular basis and Assistant Professor Pediatrics on fixed pay for a period of six months. Syndicate also decided to extend services of Mr. Rahimzada former Chief Planning Officer Health Department Govt. of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Consultant P&D KMU while Lt. Col (R) Javed Khan as Consultant IPMS.
As per recommendation of the Higher Education Commission and in pursuance of Section 28 (1) (i) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities Act, 2012, the Syndicate recommended the proposed KMU statutes for promotion of Professor (BPS-21) to Meritorious Professor (BPS-22) for approval of the senate.
