Kurram students Wednesday held a demonstration against the closure of educational institutions in their agency. The protesting students led by KSU President Muhammad Habib were holding placards inscribed with slogans in favour of their demand to reopen educational institutions in Kurram and against the authorities concerned for wasting precious time of the students. They also chanted their full-throated slogans against the agency administration and authorities concerned.

Addressing the protestors, Habib alleged that most of the educational institutions were destroyed during the military operations and militants subversive activities. He said that the pathetic response of the authorities concerned and agency administration towards the issue was wasting precious time of students. He also alleged that the agency education officer was also prey to political pressure and doesn’t pay attention towards the issue. Habib on behalf of the protesting students demanded the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to take notice of the closure of educational institutions in Kurram and take proactive steps to impose ‘Education Emergency’ across the agency
