Everything is not perfect in universities in UK and everything is not bad in universities in Pakistan. The missing link is commitment – as it is said ‘when you are interested in doing something you do it whenever it is convenient and when you are committed to something you simply do it, you accept no excuses, only results. This was stated by Syed Hafeez Ahmad, Deputy Registrar, Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar while conducting a cascading exercise returning from a training session held in University of Nottingham, UK. This one week ‘Leadership Training Program’ was arranged by Higher Education Commission Islamabad in collaboration with the British Council Pakistan particularly for Senior Administrators and Deputy Registrars working in Pakistani Universities.
The session was chaired by by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah, VC, KMU while Dr. Fazal Mahmood, Registrar, Prof Dr Shad Muhammad, Director Academics, Syed Motahir Ali Shah, Controller of Examination, Gul Azad Khan Treasurer, Rahim Zada Consultant P&D and all administrative officers of the university were in attendance.
