Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Technical Education and Mineral Development, Nawabzada Mehmood Zeb Khan Wednesday said that increase in population index and dearth of sources has decreased the employment opportunities.
Addressing a seminar on “Public Private Partnership for Vocational Training”, he said that promotion of technical education in need of the hour as seventy eight percent of the province budget is being utilized to meet salary expenses.
He said that the existing perspective demands the promotion of technical education and vocational training.
The seminar was organized by Skill Development Council Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical and Vocational Training Authority and Punjab Vocational Training Council.
The minister said that positive change would be witnessed by the revolutionary steps of the government for vocational training that are aimed to equip our workers with the tool of technical education. He said that our province contributes to twenty four percent of labors working in Pakistan and outside the country adding they would be a significant source of foreign exchange if properly equipped with contemporary technical education.
