Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led provincial government will introduce modern education policy to uplift the standard and quality of education. Talking to media persons here on Friday, Pervez Khattak said that provincial government’s recent announcement has signalled implementation of modern policy for the betterment of education system. He said that against the previous trend of rewarding teachers on political basis, now promotions and transfers of educators across the province would be based on their performance. Pervez Khattak clarified that the new educational policy will ensure improvement in academic system. Moreover, PTI’s coalition partner in the KPK government, a senior provincial minister of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq also clarified his stance by saying that encouragement will be made for any move taken for the promotion of education in KPK.
