Mushtaq inaugurates HE Teachers Training Academy

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Higher Education Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani while terming the training system as basic need of human life has said the establishment of Higher Education Teachers Training Academy (HETTA) is certainly a change-friendly initiative of present provincial government through which not only the new comer lecturers would be trained before joining their duties but working lecturers would also be provided training opportunities to improve teaching system in higher educational institutions.

He was addressing a certificates distribution ceremony on the occasion of the completion of first training course arranged by the HETTA at Peshawar. 32 lecturers from different colleges and universities attended the course and completed it successfully.

The Provincial Minister while talking on the occasion said the training was the basic need for successful human life as no individual or institution can be developed without proper training. 

But unfortunately, there was no training system for higher education in the whole province. The present provincial government has established the said academy to achieve the goals, which would helpful to improve the teaching methodologies.

Highlighting the initiatives undertaken by government in education sector, he stated that TEVTA has been authorized as technical and vocational authority to create skilled workers in the province. A huge amount of 1500 millions has also been allocated in budget for the purpose.
