Needy Islamia College students get scholarship

Scholarships among the three-hundred needy and poor students of Islamia College University were distributed during a programme held in connection with the diamond jubilee celebrations of Islamia College. The ceremony held at Takbir Hall on Wednesday with former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Mohammad Jan Aurakzai as the chief guest. Vice Chancellor of the University Noor Jehan was also present. 

250 boys and fifty most girl students were given scholarships. In his speech to the students Ali Mohammad Jan Aurakzai said that students were the future leaders of the country and they would lead the nation in different walks of life in future. 

He advised students not to take responsibilities as burden but take that as challenge and always think to solve problems faced to people in the country. He added that students should focus on character building as that having equal importance with curriculum activities for students.
