Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University in collaboration with Lahore College for Women University organized a three day workshop on Gender Empowerment and Sensitization. The workshop was held from November 27, 2014-November 29, 2104. The resource person for the workshop was Ms. Moneeza Hashmi, President Common Wealth Broad Casting Association and President of Benazir Bhutto Chair, Lahore College for Women University. However, Ms.. Rukhshanda Naz, an eminent lawyer of the KP and Ms. Mariam Bibi, head of the khwendo Korea were the guest speakers for the event.
The resource person and the guest speakers highlighted the issues and Challenges being faced by the Pakistani women and stressed that development is not overnight, it takes time. It is time that girls need to be aware of their rights.
On The final Day, the chief guest Mr. Sher Bahadur, Registrar, SBBWU distributed the certificates among the students and the organizers.
