Over 8,000 appear in NTS test of UoP

Around eight thousand seven hundred students appeared in entry test held for admission into University of Peshawar four year bachelor degree programme on Sunday. 

While in total eleven thousand candidates have applied for admission for the seventeen hundred seats being offered by thirty nine departments of UoP in the BS programme. The candidates already had a valid NTS test score and wanted not to improve them didn’t appeared in the test held on sunday. 

The test was held in seven centres comprising University Public School, Agricultural University School for Boys, Sarhad College, Commerce College, Qurtaba College, Brains Degree College and ICMS Peshawar.

Vice Chancellor UoP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan visited the test centre in University Public school. He showed satisfaction over the facilities being provided to the students and the overall conduction of the test. He was accompanied by Regional Coordinator NTS Tahir Aslam and Director Admissions Prof. Dr. Hizbullah Khan.

Talking to media men on the occasion the Vice Chancellor said that BS programme is being recognized globally and special steps were being taken to bring improvement in it over the passage of time so as to produce quality graduates. He added that being the mother institution of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa University of Peshawar would take steps to raise the bar of its academics and focus on service provision to the community.

It is worth mentioning that the result of NTS would be available on NTS website www.nts.org.pk and University of Peshawar website www.upesh.edu.pk within seventy two hours after which a merit based on obtained marks of FA/ F. Sc and the test marks would be generated in the third week of this month. The classes of Bachelor four year programme would commence from October 7, 2013 respectively.
