University of Peshawar postponed second, fourth and sixth semesters examinations of BS Four years program of Government College Peshawar, Superior Science and Government Colleges of Mathra and Charsada which were scheduled on June 28th.
Talking to The Frontier Post students of Government Superior Science College on Saturday complained about he decision and demanded UoP to conduct exams before the Eid. Shahzad student of fourth semester of Statistics while talking on the matter said that students were already prepared for the exams but varsity delayed the exams which would waste their precious time.
Exams were first scheduled on June 17th then it was rescheduled on June 28th but later it was notified that exams would held after Eid-ul-Fitar, informed Siraj student of Pak-Studies while expressing his view on the delay of exams. He added that the one month delay in their exams would delay completion of their degree as well which according to him will ultimately affect their future.
Commenting on the matter Spokesman of UoP Akhtar Amin said that the decision was made on general consensus of all colleges administration and students and varsity had no problem to conduct the exams during Ramazan but on the large interest of the students and requests of administration of other than Superior Science College, the exams were scheduled after Ramadan.
