Peshawar university gets Rs120m from govt

University of Peshawar to initiate mega developmental projects like establishing Institute of Peace & Conflict Studies, developing the transport system as UoP on Friday received grand of rupees 120 million from the provincial government.

The grant approved by former chief minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti in his visit to UoP on eve of initiating Naway Sahar Laptop Scheme couples of months earlier but was delayed for few months due to clerical work which affected the developmental work in progress in the varsity however with its release UoP resumed its developmental projects, said Director of Planning & Development Directorate, Dr. Badshah Munier Bukhari while talking to The Frontier Post.

Almost 120 million rupees would be allocated for the establishment of Institute of Peace & Conflict Studies and hundred million rupees would reserved for improving quality of transport system while ten million rupees would be given to PUTA for the facilities of teachers’ community in UoP.
