Mr. Pir Muhammad Khan, the first HEC sponsored indigenous Ph.D. Scholar of the Department of Water, The University of Agriculture Peshawar successfully defended his Ph.D. research work on 17th April, 2014 and was declared successful. His Ph.D. research was on “Impact of blocked and unblocked singular subsurface tile drainage system”. Mr. Pir Muhammad Khan is presently serving as Agriculture Officer, in the Department of Agriculture (Extension Wing), Govt of KP. Mr. Pir Muhammad Khan research work was supervised by Prof. Dr. M. Jamal Khan, Chairman Department of Water Management, The University of Agriculture Peshawar.
Field research work and laboratory facility was completed with the financial help of HEC. The financial help of HEC is highly acknowledged with thanks and it is expected that the HEC will continue the sponsorship of Ph.D. scholars to overcome the shortage of human resources in Universities and postgraduate institutions
