Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that stage play on the life of Khushal Khan Khattak would be presented in threater next month.
Addressing a meeting held to finalize the preparations for the stage play, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that by presenting such plays our youth would come to know about the lives, achievements and accomplishments of our heroes.
He said by staging such plays people could know about the philosophy of our elders who had always preached peace and harmony. The minister in the meeting was informed that the stage play would be presented in the last week of January.
Director Culture, Pervez Sabit Khel, prominent writer Noorul Bashar were also present in the meeting. The script of the play was discussed in detail during the meeting. Speaking on the occasion Mian Iftikhar Hussain who also holds the portfolio of Minister for Culture said that the great Pashto poet Khushal Khan Khattak through his writings united Pakhtuns and created a sense in them for fighting for their rights.
Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that theatre play on the life of great Sufi poet, Abdur Rahman Baba was very successful and people of various walks of life of the province gave very encouraging response in this regard.
He hoped that the theatre plays on Khushal Khan Khattak and other heroes would also be successful. We would take all out steps to convey the message and thinking of our heroes to every person, Mian Iftikhar concluded.
