As many as thirteen University Public School (UPS) students getting top twenty positions in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar, SSC examination were awarded with gold medals and merit certificates in a ceremony held here on Friday.
The position holders included Umair Murtaza who got second position in BISE exam among the 9th students, while Anas Rasool got first position in School and ninth in Board among the tenth students. Others included Saad Ahmed Khan, Majid Rasheed, Khurram Saifullah, Ameer Muhammad, Muhammad Jawad Afridi, Wisal Ahmed, Muhammad Zubair Khan, Fazal Akbar Khan, Muhammad Asadullah, Ubaid Khan and Yasin Khan.
Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan distributed prizes among achiever students. Parents and teachers were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony the Vice Chancellor said that University Public School has an academic infrastructure second to none, adding that he expects better results from them.
Principal Gul Hameed informed the Vice Chancellor that one hundred and fifty two UPS students appeared in BISE exam and all secured first division.
