Protest against University of Peshawar admin

Mutahida Talba Mahaz (MTM) comprising all students wings of University of Peshawar staged a joint protest for the rights of students by chanting slogans against administration and Vice Chancellor in front of his office on Tuesday.

Protest was led by President of MTM Fakhar Alam while Atiqul Rehman of IJT, Shah Faisal of Watan Pal, Rahim of ISF and Ziaullah Khalil of PSF addressed the students. They said that only poor students were studying in UoP but admissions’ fees more than sixty thousands rupees could not be afforded by poor students therefore they demanded decrease in admissions’ fees. 

Speakers said that they were united for mutual cause which was only acquiring own rights from varsity administration but they added that administration was not sincere solving problems faced to poor students. Atiqul Rehman of IJT alleged VC of UoP for saying “Students can not afford fees should not take admission in UoP”, he added that such attitude of VC would not solve problems but will increase.

Speakers said that poor students were allowed to submit their fees in installments but incumbent administration deprived students from that facility that corollary deprive poor from education.
