Character building of young generation predominantly students is must for establishing a corruption free society. We must inculcate high moral values as well as abhorrence against corruption in the minds of youth from the every beginning. These views were expressed by speakers at a Provincial level inter-colleges Urdu Declamation Contest organized by NAB (KP) in collaboration with Islamia College University at Khyber Union Hall, on Thursday. 21 Public / Private Sector Colleges of the Province participated in the declamation contest VC Islamia College University Professor Dr. Rasool Jan president over the function while DG NAB (KP) Col (R ) Shahzad ANwar Bhatti was the Chief Guest. VC said that only youth, who possess tremendous talent, resilience, courage and ability to meet challenges, can change the destiny of the country and steer the country out of the present mess. He appreciated the NAB (KP) for arranging such meaningful programmes and assured all out support on behalf of the university to work collectively for this noble cause.
DG NAB (KP) stressed upon the students to adopt high moral values such as self-discipline, truthfulness, honestly, punctuality, fairness in dealings and respect for elders. He added that students speeches highly inspired him and their enthusiasm, talent and spirit reflect that the future of country is bright Col (R ) Waheedullah Khan Addl. Director (A&P) Registrar Islamia College University Dr. Sareer Badshah and Chief Organizer Islamia College University Abaseen Yousafzai also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, students in their thought provoking speeches urged upon all segments of the society to play their role in elimination of corruption from the society.
They also highlighted the importance of character building to establish a corruption free society. Miss Arzoo Fatima of Govt. Girls Degree College Kohat Road Peshawar. Mr Hassan Shakoor of Garrison Cadet College Kohat, Miss Irum Raheem Marwat of FEF College for Girls Nothia Peshawar and Miss. Fareeha Tariq of Fizaia Degree College Peshawar stood first, second, third and fourth respectively. DGNAB (KP) Col (R ) Shahzad ANwar Bhatti, Registrar Islamia College University Dr. Sareer Badshah and Regional Head National Bank of Pakistan Mr. Atlas Khan jointly gave away cash prizes / Merit Certificates to the winner of the contest.
