United Teachers Forum (UTF) of University of Peshawar on Monday blamed incumbent cabinet of Peshawar University Teachers Association (PUTA) for using association funds in the election campaign.
President of UTF Dr Ihsanullah while addressing the forum meeting said that incumbent cabinet was organizing different functions and dinners before the polls as a part of their election campaign
He added that organizing such dinners were affecting free and fair election. Dr Ihsan requested varsity administration to make PUTA dysfunctional and formulate caretaker setup before the election. General Body meeting of teachers of University of Peshawar is being called on November 28th at Khyber Law College Peshawar at 5 pm a day before of PUTA election 2012-13 on November 29th.
Preparations for election are completed while election campaigns are on its peak as only eight days are remaining in the election. Tough competition was expected for PUTA presidency which would be contested between incumbent PUTA president Jamil Ahmad Chetrali of Friends Group and Ihsanulah candidate of Independent Group.
