The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved Rs110 million as grant-in-aid for the University of Peshawar (UoP) for fiscal 2012-13.
According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, Rs100 million of the funds had been allocated to meeting transport requirement of the university and Rs10 million to Peshawar University Teachers Association.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Ameer Haider Hoti has approved Rs30 million for Langlands School and College, Chitral, as supplementary grant.
