Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar signs MoU with Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar
Department of Economics in collaboration with Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University has successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar on June 11, 2015. The ceremony was held at Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar. Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar and Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan, Director, Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar signed the MoU.
The MoU covers joint Research and Academic collaboration in mutual areas of interest. It also includes exchange of Educational and Research staff as well as exchange of Academic and Research knowledge material between the two institutions.
Both the organizations will promote academic, research and cooperative activities in mutual areas of interest. At the end of the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Professor Dr. Razia Sultana along with the faculty members department of economics and ORIC also visited the Institute.
On the occasion, Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan, Director, Institute of Management Sciences appreciated the efforts made by the women university. He said that both the organizations will promote academic, research and cooperative activities in mutual areas of interest. The institute will initiate joint research projects with the female students of Women University. The institute will work with the students of Economics and Computer Science department on promotion of Entrepreneurship. The Moreover, he extended his cooperation at full length in order to establish ORIC at the Women University.
Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar briefly elaborated the strengths of University. She said that the students of Women University have immense potential. The joint research projects will help them learn practically and produce innovative ideas. The collaboration will help the students provide platform to take new initiatives based on innovative ideas. They would be able to seek technical guidance as well. She also offered the services of different departments to facilitate the institute in different domains.
At the end the team of Women University visited the campus of Institute of Management Sciences where the representatives from Institute of Management Sciences took the Women University’s team on campus tour and briefed them about the institute’s Library, ORIC, QEC, Lincoln Corner, Entrepreneurship Development Centre and other established departments.
