Special children deserve attention of society: Mossarat

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Special Education, Mossarat Qadeem has said that exceptional attention of the society was needed to make special children a useful part of our social edifice.

She expressed these views in a prize distribution ceremony of Muhammad Azam Khan, Special Education Centre (MAKSEC) at Charsadda on Monday.

The ceremony among others was attended by Patron-in-Chief of MAKSEC, Haji Ali Akbar, Chairman Wajid Ali Khattak, Deputy Commissioner Charsadda, Syed Zafar Ali Shah and officials of Education Department.

Mossarat Qadeem said the ratio of special children in our country was three percent of the population and keeping in view the numbers a special network of institution is required to address their issues.

She added that each and every member of the society join hands to support endeavors of government to resolve the core issues confronted by special children.

The minister appealed the philanthropists to come forward and generously help the MAKSEC for continuing its welfare activities. She also announced to establish an endowment fund for MAKSEC.

She said that work on education center at Charsadda was underway that would proved to be a milestone for the welfare of special children.
