With aim for political and election awareness among the people, Azad Theater of Punjab with joint collaboration of Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of University of Peshawar presented stage drama Bacha Jamoora in Agha Khan Auditorium Hall of the varsity on Friday.
Different problems faced by the people in the form of social and economic evils like price hike, illiteracy and unemployment were highlighted on the stage by artists and received strong appreciation from the audience. Problems faced by students in different educational institutions like increase in tuition fees, use of unfair means in examinations were also depicted. Teachers, students relations were also presented by performers on the stage. AD of Azad Theater Asif Ansar addressing the audience after the drama said stage drama played effective role for bringing positive changes in a society.
He complained that government never paid attention to the importance of stage drama and always ignored it. Ali Imran Bangash lecturer of Journalism Department said stage drama could play effective role in eradication of social evil. He hopped that JMC would arrange such events in future.
