Students of College of Home Economics showcase Art

M. Sc Students of College of Home Economics showcased variety of art work in the two day annual exhibition arranged by the Department of Art and Design (CHE) at University of Peshawar. The exhibition comprised of Printing and Art History, Textile Designing and Printing, Graphics Communication, Ceramics, Architecture & Interior Designing and Marketing & Advertising.

The theme Pakistan: a country of history, culture and art or the pictorial representation of the story and colors of our provinces, the students exhibited that their motherland has the entire requisite ingredient to flourish. 

The exhibition was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor UoP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan. He visited the stalls and showed his satisfaction over the creativity reflecting in the students work. He was accompanied by Principal College of Home Economics Dr. Kaneez Fatima and faculty members.

The Vice Chancellor on the occasion called for marketing of the creative work done by the students. He said that the work of the young artists reveal that they have all the ingredients to become successful entrepreneurs. Industrialists, members of the chamber of commerce and people related to textile and communications should take benefit from the students work and possibly go for its commercial production, he added. This would not only motivate them to excel further but economical products could be made available in the market.

It merits a mention that the exhibition is open to all industrialists and entrepreneurs. The closing ceremony would be held on October 8, 2013.
