Khyber Students Union (KSU) on Wednesday threatened to block the Torkham Highway if their kidnapped colleague was not recovered within three days.

The members of the students union led by Muslim Khan Afridi and Niamat Khan Afridi demanded the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Political Administration Khyber Agency for immediate and safe recovery of kidnapped tribal student Muhammad Haroon Afridi.

Haroon, the student of Government College Peshawar, was abducted by unidentified persons on January 5, 2013 from Shahkas area of Khyber Agency.

Talking to media the speakers expressed grave concern over law and order situation in Khyber Agency and alleged that Khasadar forces had failed to maintain peace in the area as kidnapping for ransom and killing of innocent people was on the rise. They added that they had met with Political Agent and other high ups of the agency but no step was taken by the administration.
