Abdul Hamid Khan, Ph. D scholar of the Area Study Centre (Russia, China and Central Asia), University of Peshawar has successfully defended his thesis, “THE GREAT GAME IN KIPLING`S WORKS” on 04/11/2014.
On the occasion Prof. Dr. Abdul Hafiz, Dean, AIOU, Islamabad applauded the scholar’s treatment of Kipling`s literary works including novel, stories, poetry and letters in the of context of political rivalry between British India and Tsarist Russia commonly known as the Great Game or the Tournament of Shadows.
Prof. Dr. Sarfraz Khan, Director of the Centre highlighted that that it`s 74th Ph. D of the Centre. His research work provides excellent background to the present-day Regional Great Geopolitics. Abdul Hamid Khan was supervised by renowned scholar Prof. Dr. Zahid Anwar, Department of Political Science, University of Peshawar. His thesis was examined by one internal examiner and two external experts from the industrially developed countries.
The Ph. D Scholar , Abdul Hamid Khan is currently working as Additional Secretary, civil secretariat, Government of Khyber Pakhtumkhwa, Peshawar.
