Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Technology (IT), Shahram Khan Tarakai Friday inaugurated e-showcasing project for locally manufactured industrial, regional products and services of the Directorate of Science & Information Technology.
Those present on the occasion were included Secretary Information Technology, Zafar Iqbal, Additional Secretary, Industries, Abdul Ishtiaq, Director, IT, Bilal Jabbar, Deputy Director, Abdul Basit and other officials concerned.
Speaking on the occasion, the provincial minister appreciated the efforts and success of the officers of the Department of Information Technology and team of those who prepared the plan. He said the step taken by the provincial government for skilled people of the province is very important, which will prove a milestone in the marketing of their products in international market and beginning of their own businesses.
The provincial minister said the province has no dearth of workers and skilled craftsmen, but most of them could not provide opportunities and they have to face difficulties in starting of their own business and introduction of their products in suitable markets.
The purpose of the project, he said is the resolution of the problems of the people through which they contact the world through internet for expanding their businesses and introduce their products in markets. The project, he said would not only help create business opportunity, but would also promote investment, strengthen economy and arrest unemployment in the province.
