Teacher’s attendance monitored: Minister

Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Atif Khan Wednesday that the provincial government is monitoring the presence of teachers at government school across the province.

He said that strict action would be taken for showing lethargy in discharge of duty by teachers, adding that those who taking salaries from government would have to perform duty.

The Minister was talking to a delegation of Insaf Teachers’ Association, who called on him here at Civil Secretariat.

He assured the delegation that the problems of teachers would be resolved on priority basis but the government would not compromise on duty hours.

He said the government has a clear policy regarding posting and transfer matters and the policy is being implemented in a transparent manner.

Meanwhile, the members of the delegation apprised the minister about their problems, condition of government schools and also the issue of teachers’ absence during duty hours
