Several teachers were found absent from duty when officials paid surprise visits to government schools on Monday.Following complaints, District Education Officer Nazir Khan went to state-run primary, middle, high and higher secondary schools in Kot Kashmir, Kotka Hayatullah and Sultan Abad localities and found several teachers absent.He issued orders to quarters concerned to deduct salaries of absent teachers. He also checked the funds utilisation record and directed the heads of schools to spend money on meeting the genuine needs of respective educational institutions, teachers and students.
